Infographics

Some brainstorming ideas I have so far are:

1: Hours of studying, Where studying takes place, For what classes
2: What food I eat in a day, All week, What times in the day, How many calories, Am I alone or with company, What mood am I in when eating
3: Where I spend money, How much, What time of day, Is it a need or want, What mood am I in when spending
4. What music I'm listening to (genre), What time of day, How long per song, Driving, walking, sitting, cleaning

So far I like the look of using different forms of maps to convey messages
Here are some example of different maps and other ideas that stood out to me

Public Service Poster

Final Poster

My poster is going to cover "Think Before You Ink" talking about people getting stupid, pointless, ugly tattoos (In my opinion!)

I like the newsprint on this one and the fact that everybody knows its printed in INK
The octopus squirts ink when threatened so I thought it'd be fun to use him.  Mr. Babcock gave me the idea of using a Dr. Stranglove reference and giving the octopus an arm that has a mind of its own that's trying to give one tentacle a tattoo while another tentacle trys to hold it back.

Overall background of the piece will be a very close image of skin, close enough that you can see the pours and all
The message will be written in "tattoo" text and will be placed on a tattoo banner

Sketches up later!

Letter Form Project

PICASA PICS

Some ideas I have for the letter project are:

-H: Have a jug of milk tipped over with the milk flowing to form a letter. Made out of glue
-A: Make a plate of spaghetti and make the letter out of meat sauce. Place a fork with someone holding it into the plate
-N: Make the letter out of glitter on a desk. Surround it with other craft tools such as scissors, glue, ribbon, etc
-N: Carve a letter into an apple/orange skin and place in tree
-A: Tacks on a cork board
-H: Cut letter out of a large leave, use the negative space up against the sunset

-H: paint letter on finger with nailpolish
-I: Cut the letter I out of paper and attach the a window. have the letter cast a shadow on something interesting, maybe a face?
-L: place cereal in a bowl of milk and make it make the letter L
-L: toast some bread, cut out letter, put toast on plate with some peanut butter and jelly
-I: Spill some coffee beans at a coffee store to form a letter. Get the idea of the coffee shop in the photo somehow
-S: Put a stencil of the cut out letter on a shirt or some kind of cloth. Spill a mess over it and remove stencil to show the letter
